In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Conventional meathods of magazine's would include on the front cover, features such as:  a masthead, a selling line, a date line, a man focal image, coverlines a main coverline, a barcode etc...

Issue Number and Price
Masthead
Subheading and Cover Lines
Barcode

Double page speads would typically include: kickers, gutters, pull quotes, side bars, subheadings and images with captions.

Drop CapPage Numbering

My magazine is in some ways conventional as it includes most of the features normally portraid in a published magazine, i chose however not to include all of them as i wanted my magazine to be a little more, irregular and personal. I think my magazine cover is the most conventional of all my magazine features because it includes most of the typical features, the thing that lets them all down the most was my choice of font. However this was to go with my theme so, i didnt have much in that respect to work with.

  1. OK but this would be a better answer if you explained the purpose of each convention then explored how you had used that convention yourself.
